Numbers deep: ONE
Deuteronomy 6:4 – “Hear, O Israel: YAHWEH our GOD, YAHWEH Is ONE.”
HE Is the Only ONE. Undivided and Indivisible, the number One represents the unity of Life with life: Eternal, Singular, Complete.
As the firstborn of creation, Adam embodies this principle: the origin of mankind. Even the second human came from the first, and together they were made One. (Genesis 2:24)
This sacred pattern continues in YESHUA HAMASHIACH, the Only Begotten of The FATHER. HIS earthly mission began in Oneness and culminated in it: The Firstfruit of those who have fallen asleep. The Firstborn from the dead. The Resurrection and The Life. (1 Corinthians 15:20)
YESHUA’S earliest recorded words reveal the divine focus of Life itself: “Why were you searching for ME? Didn’t you know I must be about MY FATHER’S Business?” (Luke 2:49)
From birth to rebirth, our purpose is to be restored to Oneness with our ABBA, FATHER.
YESHUA’S Prayer in John 17:20-23 is the ultimate revelation of this unity: “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in ME through their message, that all of them may be ONE, FATHER, just as YOU are in ME and I AM in YOU. May they also be in US so that the world may believe that YOU have sent ME. I have given them the Glory that YOU gave ME, that they may be ONE as WE are ONE. I in them and YOU in ME, so that they may be brought to Complete Unity. Then the world will know that YOU sent ME and have loved them even as YOU have loved ME.”
One is not just a number. It is the divine call to unity; of purpose, of being, of destiny.
And yet, the mystery of ONE goes even deeper…
